On behalf of the Trustees and Executive Committee of the Exeter Leukaemia Fund I write to thank you very much for enabling the ELF Skydive to happen on June 4th 2010. Elf saw a record number of people jump for the charity raising an estimated Ł15,000; Ł1 per foot!!

Comments received from the ELF supporters were absolutely fantastic. We had a variety of people jump, including 15 young farmers, 2 TV presenters and many with motivational reasons. We hope you and your staff had an enjoyable day too.

ELF has been in existence for over 22 years. It has grown from humble beginnings into a well recognised and respected south west charity. Over Ł4 million has been raised to provide funds for enhanced patient care, state of the art equipment and research at the renowned Haematology Centre which opened in 2003. ELF contributed Ł1.6 million towards the cost of building the centre and it has treated many thousands of patients.

Since the charity was formed significant strides have been made including better survival rates, more consultants treating more people and innovative patient care offerings by ELF. However the aim remains to make leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood disorders history across the South West.

We are very looking forward to the next ELF Skydive happening on 3rd September 2010 and already have a number of people signed up. Your valuable contribution is greatly appreciated.

Dear Jason,

I just wanted to say thank you for jumping with me on the 13th June. I had an amazing time and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the experience.

Before the jump you said that life is for living, I have to say I totally agree!

I think that Keith and I will have raised about Ł3500 or a bit more, so it was a good result all round!

My mum and I were part of the 32 from Saltash.net community school who did our charity skydive on Bank Holiday Monday. I just wanted to thank everyone at Skydive UK for a wonderful day. We really filt looked after by all the staff and instructors and you all made what was an amazing experience already even better. On top of that, looking over my mum's photos I can't believe how skilled your photographers are - they are extraordinary pictures! I can't wait to book my second dive.

Hi Dawn and Team,

Thanks for all your help on Saturday- it was a great day, hugely boosted by the perfect weather!

Hey to all of the skydiving team!

Thankyou soo much for letting me experience a skydive, it was fantastic! It was worth the 8 hour wait and is definitely something i'm going to do in the future :)
Everyone was soo friendly and I must thank Simon for being an great instructor who made the experience that much better :) People called me 'nuts' and 'crazy' for deciding to do a skydive..while really..they are crazy not to do one! I will be recommending it to everyone! Was soo glad I did the 15,000ft one and got it filmed (thanks for that by the way) else I know I would have regretted it! Cant wait to see final result and show everyone I know!

I am registered blind and signed up to do a charity skydive.

I was raising funds for the West of England School and College for Children with little or no sight in Exeter, where I was a pupil 20 years ago.

On arrival at Skydive Uk I was immediately impressed with the overall organisation of booking in and the facilities available for use.

I felt very apprehensive about the skydive as I have never done anything like this before in my life - the staff were fantastic, after the briefing my nerves were steady and I felt excited about the jump.

I met my instructor and photographer and felt even more at ease at this point, I was talked through what was happening constantly in the plane to the point of getting to the aircraft door...

... Then Whoosh! The sound of the air filled my ears as we fell through the air - amazing!

I couldn't tell you what my favourite bit was, as the whole experience totally blew me away - I would definitely do this again!

Thank you Skydive UK for something that will stay with me forever!

Just a quick message to say a HUGE thankyou for such an awesome experience on sunday. It was so so busy but virtually everyone i spoke to was so friendly and helpful and really put me at ease. My 1st ever tandem skydive was such an experience, i have literally not stopped talking about it and i'm still on such a high, I know you have lots of instructors but please pass on my thanks to Andy! (i'm sure it was andy, i was pretty zoned out at the time :)) You all do a fantastic job and i can totally see the buzz you must experience from it. My photos were top top quality, i just cant stop looking at them, waiting for my video now. I can't stop smiling, thanks again for a day i will never forget.

On behalf of Spoton I would like to say a massive thank you to the insane person who come up with the idea to just jump out of plane (oh and skydive uk)!!

It was an absolute exilirating experience, one in which I can safely say we will never forget. Just think we'll be able to go to our friends & family and tell them of the time we fell from 15,000ft at 127mph!!

The view was incredible- you could see for miles... you could see fields and fields, and even more fields, oh and the sea.

The experience was without a doubt the best experience ever to this date & I say to those wanting to do it but don't have the courage to do it, maybe due to being scared of heights; "You'll never know what it's like till you've tried it." A fellow colleague at Spoton who also jumped conquered his height fears.

Don't leave it till it's too late...

...You'll end up kicking yourself!

I was given the tandem skydive as a fiftieth birthday present and was a little apprehensive. However the experience was just something else. From the moment of arrival to landing back down on the ground after the jump, I felt I was in good hands.

And the jump itself.... that moment when you lean out of the door of the aeroplane and you see the ground over 2 1/2 miles below is unforgetable - as is that feeling when you first fall away from the plane, tumbling in that very noisy very fast moving air. And the quiet and stillness when under the open canopy... I could go on! Just brilliant.

Thanks to all the team, especially Andy whose parachute I shared, and Paul who took some great pictures (including the one here).

Hi Guys,

To Jason, Andy, Chris and the rest of the SkyDiveUk Team we would like to send out a huge thankyou!

We did the charity tandem jumps on bank holiday Monday and absolutely loved it! There's already talk of booking another jump...we're hooked!
The money we raised for Friends of Crewkerne Aqua Centre has helped to buy new swim teaching and life saving equipment for the pool so it was well worth it.

As a side, we were wondering what the fastest time was for the 2.5K run? Could you also email us our times as I think we are going to put a small display together as proof that we managed it :-)
Which reminds me, the pictures were brilliant as well so an extra thankyou for those.

So keep up the good work guys and we could be seeing you again before too long!

Hi I just wanted to say a massive thanks to you. Today (13th Nov 2010) I took part in a tandem skydive what a rush it was amazing thanks to all. Also from my rush I raised money and hopefully awerness for the Robert (Bob) Ward Breath of Life Fund which is in aid of the British Lung Foundation in memory of my dad who would have 60 this week but sadly passed away from a disease known as MESOTHELIOMA which is caused from asbestos so I wanted to do something to make the occasion and thought what better way then to throw myself out of a plane lol. I did my jump on the 13th March 2011, with 4 other friends, there are 5 more in our team to go, so good luck to them, we are all doing it for SCOPE. It was brilliant and I know it will be great for them too.
A big thank you to all involved in getting us down, even though I went a little off the landing field and headed for the village we came down in a nice field, Thanks Andy.
Would like to say if your thinking about this as an advent go and do it, the rush is awesome.

Hi guys

Thank you so much for Saturday, I had the best day ever! I'm now constantly banging on about my jump (and driving everyone mad) and telling everyone how amazing it feels to have done it.

I've suffered from claustrophobia and fear of heights since childhood and got to a stage where I was sick of fear holding me back, so I thought I'd throw myself in the deep end and do a skydive! I can now say it was the best choice I ever made. Although I was nervous and my body was a bit in shock by all the adrenaline, I am so glad I did it. I have the most amazing photos to prove it!! I will be proud of myself forever and grateful to you always for being so considerate on the day. My instructor really put me at ease :)

I would like to say a big thank you to Skydive UK for giving our St Lukeâ€™s Hospice fundraisers the chance to take part in an opportunity of a lifetime!

On Saturday 26th March 2011, 16 of our very brave, courageous and enthusiastic fundraisers took part in a â€Leap for St Lukeâ€™sâ€™, jumping 15,000ft! Our Brave fundraisers raised an estimated ÂŁ10,000 which is phenomenal, so a big congratulations to them.

Every year St Lukeâ€™s Hospice cares for more than 2800 terminally ill patients from across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. Statistics show that 1 in 5 people in this area will develop a terminal illness at some point in their lives. Subsequently there is a growing need for specialist palliative and end of life care. With your help St Lukeâ€™s Hospice can continue to provide that special care and support for their families.

The feedback we have received from the fundraisers is fantastic, and everybody at Skydive UK was great, and made the day extremely enjoyable for us all.

St Lukeâ€™s is very much looking forward to our next skydive booked for Saturday 20th August where we already have 29 fundraisers ready to jump!!

Jumped this time last year on an AFF level 1, solo exit. Loved it! The instructors were all friendly and professional.
I can't wait until I can afford to do the whole course! Everyone should do it at least once!

I did my first ever tandem skydive last saturday (2/7/2011) OMG!!! Have I come back down to earth yet??? No!!! I loved every single minute I spent at the well!!! The instructors were friendly and wicked humoured. I had Ralphy as my tandem instructor who was awesome, proffesional and knoweledgeable, fun and funky!!! Shane my photographer/videographer just took the best photos- awaiting my dvd which I'm sure will blow my mind! I had the best time, thanks so much, you WILL be seeing me again, I have the bug, please pass on my thanks to the guys. Already have between 3 and 6 people lined up to visit you in October, so I will be coming along to support them, whilst planning my next visit!! Many thanks for a fantastic experience last Saturday; the memory of which will stick with me for ever. It's been one of the things I've been talking about doing for years & as I retired last week thought now's the time to go for it & hopefully raise money for a very worthwhile charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care, at the same time. To date I have raised Ł1,025 for them by doing this Skydive & with the promise of a bit more yet to come.

Again, thanks for a fantastic experience, especially to Andy my instructor & Rob the cameraman (with some help from a colleague!).

I done a tandem jump at dunkeswell on the 16th July. (Charity Jump) It has got to be one of the most exhillerating experiances of my life. (and by far the best way to spend 10 minutes straped to someone) My instructor, Adam, was fab. I felt really at ease with him. the entire day was great and will be repeated. thanks Guys.

I just did a tandem with Skydive UK and boy, am I glad my boyfriend bullied me into it! It wasn't something I particularly wanted to do but with the incentive of making him proud of me and of raising money for charity, I did it!

Two attempts got rained off - blasted British weather! But the experience of a tandem skydive and the friendliness of the guys at the DZ... you can't beat it!

To anyone with any sliiiight desire to do one.. do it! You won't regret it!

Wowwwww a big thankyou to Andy my instructor and Jamie my camera man being part of the record tandem charity advent was out of this world. Thanks Andy for looking after me, and putting me at ease,,,, I'm still buzzing and I'm never going to forget this experience.

wow, what a day!! thank you to Ian who made the jump so much fun and the mad cameraman who took the most amazing photos!! i wasn't going to have photos but am very glad i did!! I raised about Ł500 for Beating Bowel Cancer in memory of my brother. Would love to jump again so see you guys soon!!

Thank you so so so much for my sky dive. It could not have been any better i had an abslute amazing time. Thank you so much to all the staff they were amazing so funny, friendly and couldnt ask for anyone better to help me with this amazing experience.
